Memorial Weekend Multisport Festival/Kickoff, N. Lawrence, OH
  • 500 Meter Swim Course:  The swim is in a beautiful recreational swim lake.  The course is a one lap counter-clockwise rectangle. (Bouys on your left)
  • 13 Mile Bike Course: The bike course is an out-n-back mostly flat-to-rolling with one challenging hill..."The Ma'Langa Ga'Langa"... at approx. the 3 & 10
    mile markers.
  • 5K Run Course: The 5K run course is 2 X 1.55M loop, mostly flat course through the peaceful campground roads.
         DUATHLON Run #1 will be 1 lap of the course.

CROSSFIT Akron Tri/Du @ Munroe Falls Metroparks, Munroe Falls, OH
  • 400 Meter Swim Course:  The out-n-back swim will take place entirely within swim limits with water depths ranging from 4-7 feet. From the start, the swim
    lane line will be to your right and the course will bend/curve slightly to the right.  On the return route, athletes will swim between designated swim lane lines
    which bends/curves slightly to the left.
  • 12 Mile Bike Course:  
The 12 mile course is flat-to-rolling.  The 2012 course will exit the park and head WEST on S. River Road to SR 91.  Bikers will head southbound/left on SR 91 to
Northmoreland Road.  Take right/west on Northmoreland to Bailey Road.  Take a right/north on Bailey Road to Munroe Falls Ave.  Take a right/east on Munroe
Falls Ave back to SR 91.  Take a right/south on SR 91.
THEN...BIKERS WILL DO A 2ND LAP...CONTINUING SOUTHBOUND ON SR 91 TO NORTHMORELAND
ROAD. DO NOT PULL BACK ONTO S. RIVER ROAD UNTIL YOU HAVE COMPLETED LAP #2.

  • 5K Run Course: The 5K run offers spectator friendliness as well as a safe, contained 2 X 1.55 mile lap course.  The route will take place entirely within park
    roads which is closed to public traffic.  DUATHLON Run #1 will be 1 lap of the course.

Both bike courses will exit out of the park and go LEFT, or northbound on NORTHEAST RIVER ROAD, cross over County Line Road to SR 534.  Bikers will then
head southbound on SR 534 to
MAHONING Ave.  Go west on Mahoning Ave back to NORTHEAST RIVER.  Take a right (or north) on NORTHEAST RIVER to
complete the loop.

Olympic Distance will do 3 laps of the Section A loop and Sprinters will do 2 laps of the Section A loop.

2012 Bike Course             2012 Run Course
BIKE COURSE DETAILS:
The Introductory stretch of the 13.5 Mile Bike course will begin at Breakwater Beach and head eastbound on LAKE ROAD WEST to SR 534 to the main loop.

THE MAIN LOOP:  The main loop will head north on SR 534 to east on SR 531 through the town strip, and then heading south on AUSTIN ROAD.  The Bike course continues turning
right/westbound on NEW LONDON ROAD, returning to SR 534 NORTH.  The bike course will be
2 LOOPS OF THE MAIN LOOP...ALL CYCLISTS WILL STAY ON SR 534 NORTHBOUND
FOR LAP #2.
 DO NOT PULL INTO THE PARK/LAKE ROAD AFTER LAP #1...2 laps are required for the bike course.  After the 2nd lap of the MAIN LOOP, cyclist will take a left/west onto
LAKE ROAD and head back to the beach.
REMINDER:  ONE Transition area (at the beach) is now used.

RUN COURSE DETAILS: Super Spectator-Friendly!
The run course will exit the beach drive and head westbound on LAKE RD.  Then U-turn onto the PAVED bike path heading back to the beach area.  The ONE MILE is just past the
beach lot on the path.  The course continues eastbound on the paved path, alongside the marina/boat ramp area, and up the
boat ramp drive.  The course then heads west briefly on
Padanarum Road through an access road back to beach lot.  The 2 mile is on the beach drive.  THE RUN COURSE THEN LOOPS AROUND THE TRANSITION AREA AND HEADS BACK
OUT OF THE BEACH DRIVE
(just like the start of the run).  Repeat the first mile of the run course and finish by the beach!  REMEMBER...THE RUN WILL REPEAT THE FIRST MILE
PORTION OF THE COURSE.
